You have found Dollar short's webpage. We are a 3 piece punk rock band in the vein of green day, rancid, and a million other pop punk, melodic punk and hardcore punk rock bands. We are from Lincoln, NE. We are really catchy with heart felt lyrics.
Songs involving girls, heartbreak, breakups, being alone, being a loser, and just plain life and growing up and we love to goof around.
The band
We are in for the music and fun. We enjoy playing punk rock and writing songs about girls. Who doesn't? There are 3 of us in the band, as you probably new by us saying we were a 3 piece. It consists of Rob (the tall nerdy guy yelling into the mic, he is the one in the middle in the pic) on guitar and vocals, justin (the small little man with a pretty face, the guy on the left) on bass, and jacob (the cool guy behind the skins, the guy on the right) on drums and bg vocals.

We are in process of making songs right now. We write a lot!! Rob writes most of the music and lyrics but all three has input. We have about 5 or so songs completed. We are working on a demo as we speak. Songs we play so far....including covers.

The story of Dollar Short
I know we might not be the cutest guys or the smartest kids in the world but we sure can rock out on our insturments! Dollar Short formed in late 2000/early 2001 with 3 of the members of Depression sets in. Rob, Justin and Jacob decided to start a sideproject band when Josh, the singer to DSI, leaves from practice. Writing more poppy punk songs with of coure that melodicness to it. Dollar Shorts songs are fast and fun. They like to write songs about girls. Duh!!!
Rob, Justin and jacob have been friends for a few years now and have been through a few different bands together. They have a 4 track recorder they play around with all the time. They record a lot of songs. It's fun. Keeps us out of trouble. We practice on Wed. after DSI practice. If we ever get any shows, we'll post them.

Getting to know the guys
Behind door number uno is Rob. He is a fun, smart, talented nice young man at the age of 18. He tries to be a chick magnet by acting funny and being a nerd. Does it work???? hmmmm.....
Behind door number dos is Justin. Girls, you better watch out. He will pull you in right away with his good looks and asshole sense of humor.
Behind door numero tres is Jacob. He is the coolest dude of the band. He is hilarious and fun to be around. Girls will surely be crawling all over him.
